Under the Wrap of Care initiative, one of our key programs focuses on counseling, guidance, and empowerment for individuals, families, and young people in the community. Through this program, we recently held impactful sessions with the people of Ndesse Village and the youths of Namubiru Village in Mukono District. These gatherings created a safe and encouraging space where community members could openly discuss life challenges and receive guidance that inspires positive change. Many youths today face pressure, confusion, and difficult choices, and these sessions were designed to help them rediscover purpose, hope, and direction for their lives. During the meetings, there were powerful moments of counseling and mentorship where young people were encouraged to reflect on their future and the importance of making wise decisions. They were guided on the dangers and long-term consequences of engaging in criminal activities, and were instead encouraged to pursue education, honest work, and positive relationships that build a better future. The sessions also included meaningful spiritual moments that helped the youths understand the importance of drawing closer to God and living lives guided by strong moral values. Through prayer, encouragement, and open conversations, many young people were reminded that their lives have value and that they have the ability to become responsible and impactful members of their communities. In addition to the youth sessions, couples and families also received guidance on building healthy and stable homes. Discussions focused on respect, communication, mutual support, and the role of strong family relationships in raising responsible children and creating peaceful communities. The response from the communities of Ndesse and Namubiru was deeply encouraging. Many participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to receive counseling, spiritual encouragement, and practical guidance that can help transform their lives and families. Through programs like these, Wrap of Care continues to restore hope, strengthen families, and empower young people to choose a path that leads to a brighter and more meaningful future.
